The Refresher Course is a half day program.  Fee is $600 which includes continental breakfast, snack, manual, and online access to course materials. A copy of your present A.T.L.S.® card will be required with your registration to attend the refresher course. Refresher registration requires that you send a copy of your current ATLS Card to JJBRIGGS@LHS.ORG

1)  Take a phone photo/scan a copy of your current ATLS card and attach to an email to JJBRIGGS@LHS.ORG (Jodi Briggs, Trauma Services, 503-413-2405, Hours: 8 - 4 M-TH). In the SUBJECT LINE of your email enter: (your name) ATLS Card

2)  Note: You have nine months to complete the refresher process — three months before your status expires and six months after it expires. If you have not completed the process within this time frame, you will need to take the A.T.L.S.® Provider Course in its entirety.

After receipt of registration form and fee, and approximately 6 weeks prior to the course, we will forward to you an A.T.L.S.® manual. An email will be sent to you from the American College of Surgeons with a pretest. You must complete the pretest at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of your course. 

Accreditation

3) Cancellations: full refund if cancelled prior to receiving course manual.  If cancelling after mailing of manual a $125 cancellation fee will be subtracted from funds returned to student.  No refunds for cancellations within the 3 weeks prior to the course or missed courses.


The American College of Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. CME is provided by the American College of Surgeons, A.T.L.S.® division, upon successful completion of the course. 

The American College of Surgeons designates this live educational activity for a maximum of (Provider 15.75, Refresher 5) AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. TM Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The American College of Emergency Physicians has approved ACEP category 1 credit for up to (Provider 15.75, Refresher 5).
